Hello from Beelieve Birthing! I’m Kristie, and I support families in Andover and the surrounding villages of the Test Valley. If you’re pregnant, or supporting someone who is, I’m here to make this chapter feel a little calmer and a lot less lonely.
What a doula does
A doula offers continuous, non-clinical emotional, physical and practical support. Think of me as the friend who’s done this before, with the knowledge to back it up. I work alongside your midwife and maternity team, help you understand your options, and make sure your voice is heard.
Support that fits around your family
Lots of the families I meet already have little ones at home, or have busy jobs and long commutes. That’s why I’ll work with you to find times that suit your family, and some of my services are available online too.
- Getting ready: 1-to-1 pregnancy education classes, feeding education with a free colostrum harvesting kit, and a parents refresher course for second (or sixth!) time parents.
- The big day: 24/7 on-call labour support, or my caesarean birth package if a planned caesarean is part of your story.
- The fourth trimester: postnatal home visits, light housework and meal preparation, and night nanny support so you can rest.
Who you’ll be working with
I’m university-educated in maternity care, with 6 years as a senior NHS maternity support worker, and I’m a mum of six with 18 years of motherhood behind me. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and IREC3 trained. You can read more about me here.
I’ve raised six children of my own, so I understand the juggling act of a growing family. I’ll bring calm, practical help and plenty of reassurance.
Travel and coverage
Andover is well within my 50-mile service area around Basingstoke. Wherever you’re planning to give birth, we’ll talk through your plans, travel and how to reach me when the time comes at your free consultation.
Prices and payment plans
Every service is listed with a clear price on my prices list. Flexible payment plans are available, because good support shouldn’t be out of reach.
Questions Andover parents often ask
Is it worth having a doula for a second or third baby? Absolutely. Every pregnancy is different, and many parents find that support with childcare plans, a refresher on what to expect, and someone to lean on postnatally helps hugely.
Can my partner still be involved? Of course. I support partners too, and my partner support session is designed to answer their questions and help them feel confident about their role.
