Local, friendly doula support in Basingstoke
A doula offers non-clinical emotional, physical and practical support before, during and after birth. I don’t replace your midwife or maternity team. I work alongside them, so you have a familiar, reassuring face in your corner the whole way through. Because I’m based locally, I can usually get to you quickly, whether you live in the town centre or one of the surrounding villages.
Many Basingstoke families give birth at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, while others plan a home birth. Whatever you’re planning, I’ll help you understand your options, think through your preferences and feel ready for the day, and I’ll support you to be heard.
How I can help
- Antenatal: 1-to-1 pregnancy education classes, feeding education (with a free colostrum harvesting kit), birth preference writing, partner support and appointment support.
- Birth: 24/7 on-call labour support, a caesarean birth package, or my all-in-one birthing service.
- Postnatal: home visits for practical, emotional and feeding support, plus a night nanny service so you can get some proper rest.

I’m university-educated in maternity care, with 6 years as a senior NHS maternity support worker, and I’m a mum of six with 18 years of motherhood behind me. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and IREC3 trained. You can read more about me here.
