1. Who we are

Beelieve Birthing is a trading name of Fulcrum Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11090618). Registered office: 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, please email info@fg-uk.com.

This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit beelievebirthing.co.uk, book doula services with us, or buy from our shop, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. The information we collect

  • Contact and booking details: your name, email address, phone number, address, and the dates, times and services you book.
  • Pregnancy, birth and health information: details you choose to share so we can support you, such as your due date, birth preferences, relevant health information and notes from our sessions. This is “special category” data and we only use it with your explicit consent.
  • Order and payment details: what you buy, delivery details and payment records. Card payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card details.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, phone, text or through our website forms.
  • Website usage: technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see section 7).

3. How and why we use your information

  • To provide the services and products you ask for, including managing bookings, reminders, payments and deliveries (lawful basis: performance of a contract).
  • To support you during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period using the health information you share (lawful basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To keep business, tax and insurance records (lawful basis: legal obligation).
  • To run, secure and improve our website and respond to enquiries (lawful basis: our legitimate interests).
  • To send you news or offers, only if you have opted in (lawful basis: consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the business, under appropriate data protection terms: our website host, our booking and calendar tools, our email and text reminder services, our payment providers (such as SumUp and PayPal), delivery companies and suppliers who fulfil shop orders, and our accountants and insurers. We may also share information if the law requires it, or in an emergency to protect someone’s vital interests.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

5. How long we keep it

We keep financial and order records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes. We keep client booking records and session notes for as long as we need them to support you and to meet our insurance requirements, and then delete them securely. Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months.

6. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask us to transfer it to you or someone else, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email info@fg-uk.com. We will reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies that are essential for it to work, for example to keep items in your shopping basket, process bookings and keep the site secure. We also use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

8. Keeping your information safe

We take appropriate steps to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, access controls and only keeping what we need. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we do our best to protect it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. See also our Terms & Conditions and Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
